Mitchell is a dedicated Planning and Environment Lawyer with a passion for guiding clients through the complexities of development under the Planning Act 2016 (Qld). Born and raised in regional Victoria, Mitchell spent his formative years in Shepparton before relocating to Melbourne to pursue his academic endeavours where he completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Majoring in Accounting) at the Australian Catholic University. Mitchell completed his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with the College of Law and was admitted to the legal practice in 2021. Prior to arriving at Stokes Lawyers in 2024, Mitchell practiced as a Planning and Environment Lawyer with a top-tier firm in Victoria.
Mitchell specialises in navigating the intricacies of the development process with a keen understanding of the legal framework surrounding planning and environment matters and has broad experience advising, and advocating on behalf of, local government and developer clients in respect of a broad range of planning and environment matters.
